Pferdekraft
28.9.2024, 10 am - 5 pmThe "Pferdekraft" event on Saturday 28 September from 10 am to 5 pm will focus on the role of horses in the rural working world of the past. The wide-ranging tasks of horses and the associated trades and products in a Weinviertel village around 1900 will be vividly presented and conveyed in a variety of ways.
For example, various demonstrations with Noriker and Haflinger horses are shown: from loading wood, field work such as mowing and ploughing to tilling vineyards. Everyday craft work in the wainwright's workshop is also explained. In addition, the collector personally guides visitors through the harness exhibition, in which various types of harnesses for harnessing draught animals can be admired. The hand milking of a Haflinger mare is one of the highlights for young and old. Making hobbyhorses is also particularly popular with young visitors. Admission is free for children and young people up to the age of 18.
